RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a direct client looking for a Data & Analytics Architect for a contract to hire opportunity to work on-site in Short Hills, NJ 2 days a week.Summary:The Data and Analytics Architect is responsible for the overall design of the data, platforms, and applications (batch/real time, cloud/hybrid) within our Information Management area (including Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics). This will include the definition of standards, best practices, policies and procedures, integration patterns, data models, high level data flows and data services. The organization is migrating from on prem to Azure. Teams are moving from a centralized model to a product aligned structure, with architects supporting specific business areas.Core platforms discussed: Databricks on Azure as the primary ETL platformPower BI replacing Cognos for reportingAzure Machine Learning for ML workloadsREQUIREMENTS:7 to 10 years of experience in Data and Analytics ArchitectureRequires a true architecture background, not someone transitioning from developer, team lead, or manager rolesUnderstand the full data and analytics ecosystemStrong in Databricks but not siloedKnowledge of Azure platform architecture, including how tools interactAble to design batch and real time pipelinesWork experience with enterprise architects and partner teams (security, networking, etc.)Experience with Power BI, Azure ML, Azure Databricks. Must ave ML/AI expertiseExperience architecting and data modeling in Azure ecosystemP&C Insurance industry experience preferredUnderstanding of Data Design methodologies and their application in complex multi-tier systemsKnowledge of Real Time, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Oriented Architecture (WOA)Strong understanding of Data warehouses, Data Marts and Data LakeAbility to develop and architect solutions based on non-functional requirementsSuperior technical knowledge in Data Quality, Standards, Governance, and DesignThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
