Medical Laboratory Scientists are responsible for performing all procedures related to assigned section and the laboratory in general.Provides training for staff in department procedures, quality assurance and instrumentation.Performs daily quality control in area assigned and records data.Collects blood and swab samples from patients when necessary.Assists physicians in bone marrow preparation.Performs proficiency testing for CAP Surveys.Additional tasks as assigned.Requirement description :Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical lab science or medical technology - RequiredAMT or ASCP - RequiredMicrobiology experience - Highly PreferredTwo Supervisory Reference Forms - RequiredSkills Checklist - RequiredCERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :ASCPWeekend Requirements : Every other weekend
