About the CompanyProvide a brief introduction to the company, its mission, and culture.Maintenance Manager - RefrigerationLocation: San Antonio, TXResponsibilitiesResponsible for safe operation, management, and maintenance / repair of an Ammonia Refrigeration System & other Mechanical counterpartsOther responsibilities include industrial/building maintenance, upkeep & repairThis position requires an individual that is self-supervised with attention to detail and the ability to supervise a small crewSafely Operate & Manage an Ammonia Refrigeration SystemKnowledge of public safety and security policies and procedures that are to be applied to promote safe operations for the protection of people, data and property.Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining work area in a sanitary mannerPerform daily checks and documentation on equipmentEvaluate machinery, equipment and facility to determine maintenance or repairs that need performedTrack and log materials and resources used for projects and maintenancePerform project management and schedulingInspect work performed to verify its complete and done to spec and mechanical standardsPerform data entry on the Maintenance Management Systems and PSM Web-SiteQualificationsBS, ME, EE or PE or equivalent work experience, plus 5+ years' experience in a high-volume manufacturing plant, preferably food or beverage.Engineering responsibility and preventive Maintenance in a large facility.Capital budgeting and planning experience.Must have managed other engineering functions such as project, process, and packaging in a team environment.Familiar with systems and infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.Preferred PSM for Ammonia Refrigeration SystemsRequired SkillsThis job requires after hours/on call and some weekend or overtime work3 to 5 years of experience in Ammonia Refrigeration and MaintenancePerform refrigeration maintenance and repair work SAFELY and in a timely mannerExperience with Process Safety ManagementCIRO Certification, "or the ability to pass RETA, CIRO Certification in an acceptable timeframe"Good working knowledge of NEC "National Electrical Code"Ability to read and interpret Blueprints and Engineering DrawingsBase knowledge of Freezer Doors, Truck Bay Levelers and Restraints, Building Maintenance, etc.Ability to work long hours as needed for projects and repairsMust be able to lift and carry 50LbAbility to work in an environment with varying hot 110°F and cold -40°F temperaturesAbility to work on elevated equipmentAble to stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time
