Construction Superintendent
Full-Time: Site Superintendent (salary negotiable)
This position will be in Fort Cavazos, TX
USACE Certification Preferred Site superintendents oversee the construction process and are responsible for overall construction activities within the described in the Scope of Work. This includes working with their assigned PM planning and scheduling, organizing, directing, and controlling activities on the construction site including but not limited to the hired subcontractors.
Requirements
Government Relations: 2 years
Construction/Site Superintendent: 5 years
License: OSHA 30 (Preferred)
License: USACE Certification Preferred Site superintendents (not weighed heavily)
Knowledge of Asbestos and Mold work
Responsibilities:
Work with Project Manager on pushing the construction schedule, and notify them of any potential issues.
Work with QC to ensure that the proper meetings are conducted, documented, and paperwork submitted. Assist QC to monitor the quality of workmanship on site.
Work with Safety Manager to ensure that all rules and procedures are being followed.
Develop an on-site relationship with the Project Construction Manager and QA on the government side. Nurture rapport with customers, but maintain a reputation for being tough on schedule, reasonable, and fair.
Schedule, organize and quarterback all subcontractor activities on the job site. Develop reputation with subs as being tough, professional, and honest.
Attend Site visits and all testing with government CO/COR, Coordinate Mobilization Activities, and Identify & list precursor elements related to long lead items
Safety:
Manage all safety
Attend Site Safety meetings.
Meet OSHA requirements and submit the required safety paperwork.
Make sure all the crews are following and adhering to safety requirements.
Work closely with the superintendents and project managers as well as the owners.
Make sure all military, state, and federal safety and quality control requirements are being met and exceeded
QC:
Develop and Administer the Quality Control Plan for the project
Certify that all submittals are in compliance with contract requirements.
Review plans and specifications to ensure requirements are met for each construction process.
Provide documented evaluations, assessments, and CQC assistance to staff and subcontractor personnel.
