Desktop Support Engineer

Description We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in New York, New York. In this long-term contract role, you will provide technical assistance and support to ensure smooth operations within an investment banking environment. This position is ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Responsibilities:- Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.- Manage user accounts, groups, and devices using Active Directory.- Administer Office 365 licenses, users, and groups, ensuring efficient functionality.- Perform basic device and user management tasks using Microsoft Intune.- Organize and maintain IT equipment, including setting up devices and connecting cables.- Respond to service desk tickets promptly and resolve issues effectively.- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve recurring technical problems.- Ensure all IT systems meet organizational standards and are properly maintained.- Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates and solutions regarding technical challenges.- Document resolutions and best practices for future reference. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support roles.- Proficiency in using Active Directory for managing users, groups, and devices.- Hands-on experience with Office 365 administration.- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and basic device/user management.- Strong knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems.- Solid troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network issues.- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.- A detail-oriented and organized approach to managing IT equipment and tasks.
