Behavioral Health Technician
Full of Life Recovery Center provides substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring disorder (COD) treatment at the PHP, IOP, and outpatient levels of care. We are growing and looking for clinicians and operations professionals who bring both clinical competence and a strong work ethic.Full of Life Recovery Center is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to support our clinical team and clients on a daily basis. BHTs are the operational backbone of the program - they monitor client safety, transport clients to off-site appointments and groups, support group facilitation, respond to behavioral incidents, and maintain the day-to-day rhythm of the facility. Candidates with lived recovery experience are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities:- Monitor client safety and well-being throughout the program day- Transport clients to off-site appointments and groups using company vehicles- De-escalate behavioral incidents involving clients with high mental health acuity, in coordination with clinical staff- Support group facilitation and structured programming as directed by clinical staff- Document client behavior, incidents, and observations in the EHR- Respond appropriately to medical and behavioral emergencies, including overdose response with Narcan- Maintain a professional, recovery-affirming environment at all times- Communicate effectively with clinical, medical, and case management staffSchedule:Monday - Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with days off rotating within the team.Compensation:$20 - $25 per hour, dependent on experience and active certifications.Benefits:- Health insurance- Paid time off (PTO)- 401(k) retirement plan (employer matching not offered at this time)- Dental and vision coverage anticipated at next benefits renewalRequirementsRequired Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED (flexible for the right candidate)- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a substance use, mental health, or behavioral health facility- Demonstrated experience de-escalating clients in crisis or with high mental health acuity- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no moving violations within the last 3 years)- Willingness to transport clients in company vehicles- Active CPR/First Aid and Narcan certifications - OR willingness to obtain them with company support immediately upon hire- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a structured, recovery-oriented environmentPreferred Qualifications:- Currently active CPR/First Aid and Narcan certifications- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Handle With Care, or comparable de-escalation training- Prior experience in a residential, PHP, or IOP treatment setting
