Facility MaintenanceThe Financial Center Building The Financial Center Building located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles has a prime corner location at Seventh and Spring Street with 86 units composed of 7,000 sq. ft. of retail space and 78 office suites. The Financial Center Building is family owned for over twenty years.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance personnel are responsible for multiple functions on the property. Functions include cleaning of facilities, plumbing, HVAC, basic carpentry, painting, electrical, light surface preparation inside leased units and the exterior of the building and grounds.Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience)Demonstrates troubleshooting mastery to quickly resolve plumbing, electrical, and related problemsAccomplishes general maintenance repairs and repairs to include basic carpentry, surface preparation, and light maintenance to include clear drains, patch holes, change light covers, hang screen doors, etc.Demonstrates ability to paint, install drywall, and basic carpentry skillsAble to properly and efficiently clean facilities Utilizes various hand and power tools to accomplish tasksBi-lingual in Spanish is a plusPossession of all tools required2+ years of various verified handyman skilled workPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift weight up to 50 poundsAbility to bend and kneelAbility to stoop and squatAbility to twist and turn upper bodyAbility to work in small spacesAbility to work both indoors and outdoorsAbility to walk long distancesDirect reportsNo direct reports for this roleAdditional RequirementsPunctuality is an essential function of this job. Must have a current and valid CA Drivers license.This is an hourly position. The typical workday either begins at 7:00AM to 3:00PM or 11:00AM to 8:00 PM and includes Saturdays.
