Food Truck Driver

Position Overview The Food Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating the North Street Press Club food truck and actively working as a crew member during service. This is a hands-on role that combines driving responsibilities with food preparation, customer service, and truck operations. Requirements Age: Must be at least 21 years of age or older Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record and provide documentation to verify Availability: Must have weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday) Training All Food Truck Drivers will complete in-house training before operating the truck. Training will cover food preparation, safety procedures, equipment operation, customer service standards, and driving protocols. Key Responsibilities Safely operate and drive the food truck to and from event locations Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Set up and break down truck operations at each location Prepare and cook menu items according to North Street Press Club standards Provide excellent customer service and process transactions Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times Keep the truck clean, organized, and fully stocked Communicate with management regarding scheduling, locations, and inventory needs Perform basic troubleshooting and report any vehicle or equipment issues Represent the North Street Press Club brand professionally at all events Qualifications Clean driving record (documentation required) Comfortable driving a large vehicle in various conditions Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, small-space environment Team player with a positive attitude Reliable and punctual Previous food service experience preferred but not required ServSafe certification a plus (or willingness to obtain) Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods in a confined space Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work in varying weather conditions Comfortable working around hot equipment and open flames What We Offer Competitive pay Flexible scheduling In-house training provided Employee meal discounts Opportunities for growth within our expanding restaurant group Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 per hour Work Location: In person
