Rooted in the Islamic values of compassion, justice, and human dignity, MAUSA serves all people regardless of faith.Position OverviewThe Marketing Coordinator is an entry-level, highly organized project manager responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of marketing initiatives.This role is the operational backbone of the marketing team, ensuring projects move efficiently from request to completion. The coordinator will manage workflows in Asana, communicate with internal teams and external contractors, and support campaign execution across digital and fundraising efforts.This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who is eager to grow in marketing, project management, and nonprofit communications. This position reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications and plays a key role in shaping Muslim Aid USA's digital growth strategy, especially across major campaigns such as Ramadan, emergency appeals, and year-end giving.Alignment with Muslim Aid USA ValuesThe Marketing Coordinator models compassion, integrity, accountability, and service; upholds Islamic philanthropic principles and ethical stewardship; and fosters a collaborative, inclusive work environment grounded in humility and shared purpose.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProject Management & WorkflowManage all incoming marketing requests and tasks through AsanaBuild and maintain project timelines, assign tasks, and track progressEnsure deadlines are met and projects move efficiently across teamsFollow up with team members and stakeholders to keep work on trackSupport weekly team check-ins and status updates Team & Contractor CoordinationServe as a point of contact between the marketing team, internal departments, and external contractorsCoordinate deliverables with designers, videographers, and freelance supportEnsure all stakeholders have clear direction, timelines, and expectationsHelp onboard and manage contractor workflows Campaign & Marketing SupportAssist in the execution of digital campaigns including email, social media, and fundraising initiativesSupport event marketing efforts including Ramadan campaigns, peer-to-peer fundraising, and special eventsCoordinate assets, links, and deliverables for campaign launches Administrative & Operational SupportSubmit and track invoices for vendors and contractorsGenerate QR codes and trackable links for campaigns and eventsMaintain organized records of marketing activities and expensesSupport data entry and basic reporting needs Content & Asset OrganizationHelp maintain and organize the marketing content library including photos, videos, and design filesEnsure assets are properly labeled, stored, and accessible to the teamSupport the implementation of brand guidelines across materials What We're Looking ForHighly organized and dependable with strong follow-throughA clear communicator who can keep teams aligned and informedComfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environmentEager to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility over timeSomeone who takes initiative and helps solve problems before they escalate Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred1 to 3 years of experience in marketing, project coordination, or administrative support (internships included)Strong organizational skills and attention to detailExperience with Asana or similar project management tools preferredBasic understanding of digital marketing platforms such as email and social mediaComfortable working with spreadsheets, documents, and shared systemsStrong communication skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication, project management, and organizational skillsPreference is given to Fairfax, VA (and surrounding areas) applicants as to conform to our hybrid model which requires a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
