SCADA and Industrial Applications Manager

Key Responsibilities:Business & Technical Systems Management:Oversee both the business and technical aspects of systems, particularly in enterprise solutions like visual dashboards and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) integration.Collaboration:Work with internal teams (core DT disciplines) and external vendors to meet the technology needs of the business.Engage with business leaders to identify specific digital technology requirements.Project Oversight:Provide status updates on projects to DT leadership and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals.Solution Design:Translate the needs of customers and stakeholders into actionable solutions, particularly across manufacturing and enterprise applications.Application Development:Collaborate with both internal teams and external vendors to design, build, and configure applications that support business objectives.Liaison Role:Serve as the point of contact between the business and subject matter experts, ensuring that key application usage is understood and optimized.SCADA and Industrial Controllers:Support the architecture and applications related to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, CNC machines, PLCs, and other industrial controls.Documentation and Compliance:Document local DT processes and ensure they comply with audit requirements.Expansion and Transformation:Address needs related to facility expansion and broader business transformation efforts.Budgeting and Investment Planning:Manage budget and investment plans for IT needs, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.Workflow Streamlining:Improve business workflows through technology, making processes more efficient.Software Lifecycle Management:Oversee components of the software development lifecycle, managing priorities and ensuring timely delivery.Service Supplier Management:Manage service suppliers to ensure infrastructure and services are delivered according to business needs.Skills and Qualities Likely Required:Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with manufacturing technologies, IIoT, SCADA systems, and application development.Project Management: Ability to oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet time, scope, and budget requirements.Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and convey complex information.Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Documentation Skills: Proficiency in documenting processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
