Project Controller

Job Title: Project ControllerPay Rate: $40 to $41.89/hrDuration: 3 monthsLocation: Houston, TXThis position is for the Power/Energy division.We are looking for a Project Controller to support commercial and financial operations for projects within the Power/Energy division. In this role, you will partner with Project Managers to ensure projects remain financially healthy, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. You will contribute to financial reporting, commercial governance, contract management, and stakeholder communication while helping improve project processes.Support Project Managers with commercial and financial project execution.Maintain accurate financial records and project reporting using SAP.Monitor project budgets, profitability, cash flow, and financial performance.Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.Assist with contract administration and claims management.Identify project risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation strategies.Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders regarding commercial matters.Support subcontractor selection and vendor coordination.Participate in process improvement initiatives.Represent commercial aspects during internal project reviews.Requirements:1–3 years of commercial project management or project controlling experience.Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and project controlling.Understanding of contract and claims management.Experience monitoring project profitability and cash flow.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.Nice-to-Have Skills & ExperienceExperience within the Power, Energy, Utilities, or Engineering industry.PMP or equivalent project management certification.Knowledge of project management methodologies.Continuous improvement or process optimization experience.
