Family, Friend, and Neighbor Outreach Navigator
Southeast MN-Home Office to Serve: Wright, Hennepin, Ramsey, Washington, Mcleod, Carver, Scott, Dakota, Sibley, Nicollet, Le Sueur, Rice, Goodhue, Wabasha, Blue Earth, Waseca, Steele, Dodge, Olmsted, Winona, Faribault, Freeborn, Mower, Fillmore, and Houston Counties Part-time (Not eligible for fringe benefits through ANR) 20 hours/week, $20/hr. The FFN Navigator will provide outreach and play a supportive role for Indigenous Family, Friend and Neighbor caregivers in the Northeast MN area. ANR expects all employees to contribute to the success of all programs/projects/grants whenever possible. This position is funded through June 30th, 2027, after which continuation will be contingent upon renewed state grand funding. Probationary period of 90 days will apply. Key Responsibilities * Develop relationships, coordinate services and meet with FFN caregivers in the Northeast MN area. * Establish rapport with area employers, tribal organizations, childcare agencies, head start/early childhood programs, and other social service or educational programs the serve tribal families. * Post flyers and assist in marketing for the program and its’ services (mini-grants, training, etc.) * Locate and attend outreach events in Northeast MN. * Stay in close communication with the FFN Coordinator and President. * Attend virtual staff meetings as requested. * Assist with cultural and social media content. * Assist with FFN grant deliverables as needed and assigned (such as): - Distribute and collect FFN surveys - Recruit and register new FFN caregivers - Advocate for needs of FFN caregivers including childcare licensing or Legally Non-Licensed (LNL) childcare - Plan and implement FFN socialization/cultural events - Track FFN specific data - Assist FFN members in accessing all services available - Locate and implement training to FFN caregivers * Other duties as assigned Qualifications * Knowledge of early childhood tribal resources in Northeast MN. * Experience working with and providing services for Indigenous children and families * Self-motivated with strong interpersonal, organizational, planning and prioritization skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. * Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) * Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. * Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary * Travel is expected.
