Associate Pastor

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate Pastor located in Sedalia, MO. The Associate Pastor will assist in leading worship services, provide pastoral care to the congregation, and oversee Bible study and discipleship programs. They will support the senior pastor in pastoral duties such as counseling, spiritual mentoring, and administering sacraments. Additional responsibilities include engaging in community outreach, fostering spiritual growth among the members, and collaborating with staff and volunteers to execute ministry initiatives. Qualifications Strong skills in Bible Study and Discipleship to guide the congregation in spiritual growth and understanding.Experience in Pastoring and Pastoral ministry to provide leadership, spiritual counseling, and guidance to members.Expertise in Pastoral Care, including offering emotional and spiritual support to individuals and families.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and foster a sense of community.A Wesleyan theological degree or relevant certification from an accredited seminary or theological institution.Proven ability to work within a collaborative team environment and engage with diverse groups of people.Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the United Methodist Church.Previous experience in a church leadership role is preferred but not required.
