With multiple offices, more than 300 employees, and 7 divisions – Asphalt and Concrete, Waterproofing and Specialty Coatings, Roofing, Snow Removal and Parking Lot Sweeping, Landscaping, and Construction, DCPS provides specialized, integrated service-solutions to commercial property owners and managers.Position SummaryThe Construction Foreman is responsible for leading and coordinating daily field operations on construction projects to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with project specifications and company standards. This role provides direct supervision of crews and subcontractors while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise construction crews and subcontractors on active job sitesInterpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to ensure accurate execution of workPlan daily work activities, assign tasks, and monitor crew productivityEnforce safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsCoordinate with project managers, inspectors, vendors, and suppliers to maintain project schedulesMonitor materials, tools, and equipment and coordinate ordering as neededTrain and mentor crew members while promoting accountability and teamworkEnsure quality control and proactively address field issues or delaysMaintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, and overall operational efficiencyQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical school or trade certification preferredProven experience in construction with leadership or foreman-level responsibilitiesStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawingsKnowledge of construction tools, equipment, and safety proceduresStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsValid driver’s license and reliable transportation requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience in commercial construction environmentsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationBilingual in English and Spanish5-6 years of experience on commercial constructionPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 75 pounds frequentlyAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periodsAbility to work on uneven terrain and active construction sitesAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and precipitationWork EnvironmentThis role is performed primarily on active construction job sites with exposure to weather, noise, dust, and heavy equipment.
