Our work is grounded in attachment theory, neuroscience, the brain–body connection, and a deep respect for each client’s lived experience.Due to continued growth and strong referrals, we are hiring.We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Therapist (independent Virginia license) or a Resident in Counseling /license-eligible clinician who is committed to meaningful clinical growth within a trauma-informed framework.This is a W-2 employee position within an established and thriving private practice specializing in trauma-informed care.Who We AreWe specialize in:Trauma and complex PTSDDissociation and trauma-related coping adaptations, including addictions, eating disorders, self-harm, and other compulsive behaviorsWomen’s mental health across the lifespan (including maternal and perinatal mental health and menopause)Mood and anxiety disordersRelationship and couple dynamicsAdolescent and family supportOur approach is non-pathologizing, relational, and strengths-based. We value pacing, attunement, reflective practice, and ethical clinical decision-making. We work comfortably with complex trauma, attachment injuries, and emotionally deep process work.Minimum RequirementsMaster’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or related fieldCommitment to a minimum of 12 client sessions per week (with options for 18 or 26 client contact hours)Willingness to work at least one evening or weekend shiftExperience or strong interest in maternal mental health, trauma, addictions, adolescents, and couplesDemonstrated competence in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning within a staged trauma model of careAbility to engage in reflective practice and integrate feedback into clinical workCommitment to ongoing professional development and reflective supervisionInterest and comfort in providing trauma-informed psychotherapy – working with complex trauma and attachment injuriesPreferredActive, independent Virginia license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD, PsyD, etc.)3+ years post-licensure experiencePrivate practice experienceTrauma-focused trainingEMDR training (or strong interest in pursuing it)Residents receive structured, individualized supervision and active consultation within a collaborative team that values clinical depth, accountability, and professional integrity.
