Join the team at Sweetgrass Pharmacy and Compounding as a Compounding Lab Technician, where pharmacy meets craftsmanship.In this specialized lab role, you'll create custom medications-like capsules, creams, lollipops, and more-for patients who need alternatives to mass-produced drugs. You'll work under the guidance of licensed pharmacists and get valuable exposure to both non-sterile and, potentially, sterile compounding practices.What You'll DoCreate Custom MedicationsCompound unique formulations including capsules, oral liquids, topical creams, troches, suppositories, and more.Label & Prepare PrescriptionsAccurately fill, label, and prepackage medications for pharmacist verification and patient use.Maintain Inventory & Safety StandardsMonitor chemical stock, receive supplies, manage safety documentation (SDS, Certificates of Analysis), and handle hazardous materials safely.Keep the Lab Clean & CompliantPerform routine cleaning and environmental monitoring to ensure the lab meets all regulatory standards.Opportunity to Rotate into Sterile LabGain hands-on exposure to sterile compounding techniques and expand your pharmaceutical skill set. Requirements Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or EquivalentCompounding laboratory experience a plus, but not required.Pharmacy Technician Registration/Certification a plusKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAttention to Detail is a must.Ability to stand for prolonged periods of timeAbility to lift 40 lbsStandards for quality, cleanliness and safety must be consistently met.Must be collaborative and able to perform as part of a teamKnowledge of and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures.Ability to take direction and be coached.Must be able to learn applicable regulations and adhere to them at all times.Knowledge of applicable pharmacy software(s) a plus.Ability to read, write, and perform simple math.
