CAD Technician

Job Description Precise Power Systems is a small family-owned engineering and fabrication company that specializes in designing and building custom fluid delivery systems for marine naval propulsion and industrial power systems. We are looking for experienced CAD designer who has previous experience in SolidWorks. Qualifications and RequirementsHigh school graduate or GED equivalentProficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) with a strong understanding of 2D and 3D drafting techniques.Basic knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Job Description1. Collaborate with Project Engineers and Senior Designers to produce preliminary CAD drawings, models and design packages in Solidworks for existing and new products in accordance with company drawing standards and templates2. Create 3d models of components and equipment from 2D drawings3. Create drawings for outsourced laser and machining work4. Generate preliminary bills of materials5. Assist with creation of internal fabrication and construction drawings6. Assist with creation of piping and instrumentation drawings7. Assist with the creation of one-line electrical drawings, while working with Sr. Electrical Engineer8. Adheres to all environmental, health, and safety rules and policies9. Conducts other duties as required This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
