Plastic Packaging Operator

About the Role As a Plastic Packaging Specialist, you will play a vital role in our high-speed production environment by ensuring the quality and integrity of finished goods. You will be responsible for monitoring automated machinery and maintaining a seamless workflow to meet our daily output targets while upholding strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Inspect plastic containers for structural integrity and cosmetic defects to ensure only premium products reach our customers. Manage the efficient packing of finished goods into bulk containers, ensuring secure assembly and proper labeling. Oversee automated equipment performance, proactively identifying and clearing jams to minimize production downtime. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring conveyor systems remain clear and operational. Coordinate with production teams to manage raw material replenishment and equipment readiness. Document production counts and maintain accurate records to support inventory management objectives. Communicate equipment malfunctions or quality concerns to leadership to facilitate rapid resolution. Operate auxiliary machinery, such as baggers, to support diverse packaging requirements. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle product defects. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to standard operating procedures. Comfortable working in an environment that handles various industrial chemical products. Preferred Skills Previous experience in a high-speed packaging or assembly role. Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor equipment issues. Experience with inventory tracking or production logging systems.
