Overview
In this role you will develop and validate guidance, navigation and control algorithms for aerospace systems, supporting diverse programs within missiles and control. You’ll work with a skilled team of engineers to model, simulate, and test embedded GNC software that enables precise flight and staging operations. Your work will span real-time processing, HWIL testing, and cross-functional reviews to ensure robust performance in challenging flight environments. This position offers impact across multiple programs and opportunities to lead small teams on novel developments.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and verify embedded GNC algorithms (inertial tracking, navigation, sensor fusion)Develop and validate complex models and simulations using Kalman filters and related techniquesEvaluate system and subsystem performance against requirements in varied environmentsSupport ground and flight test activities including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL)Lead or participate in small project teams and contribute to program reviews and customer engagements
Key requirementsBS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar STEM field3+ years of relevant experienceUS Citizenship ( interim clearance to start)Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and C++Experience solving problems and developing algorithms in at least 4 GNC sub-domains (Navigation or Inertial Tracking)Solid foundation in linear algebra, statistics, and state estimation; ability to validate C++ simulations with real-time dataExperience implementing and debugging GNC algorithms in real-time processing environmentsExposure to electro-optic phenomenology and optical system analysis in GNCFamiliarity with Modeling and Simulation of GNC systemsMATLABPythonC++Kalman filteringsensor fusionHWIL
