USA (Sta Clara) Applications Engineer

US Applications Engineer (Oregon) Would you like to be instrumental in enabling the next generation of semi-conductors? We are looking for a customer focused Applications Engineer based in Sta Clara in the United States with experience in leading characterisation and demonstration activities for metrology equipment.Reward and Benefits:Salary range: $135,000 to $165,000 base salary, depending on experience, skills, and location, plus a full US benefits package20 days leaveOur HQ, based in Abingdon, Oxford, UK, is home to a high calibre team of 100 plus people and we are growing fast. We are expanding rapidly which means we need support engineers across the globe.A typical day could look like this:Reporting to the Worldwide Applications Director (based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK) you will support our customers in the application of Infinitesima products, solving problems and developing methods to demonstrate the capability of our technology at its best.Responsibilities: Act as the primary customer contact for applications of Infinitesima productsSupport the customer in data collection and method development by understanding their applications and optimising the system and recipe parametersDrive applications projects to meet customer requirementsPresent the product and associated results to customers in a professional wayTrouble shoot application performance to diagnose system operation and set-up issuesSupport business development, through running samples, presenting data, writing reports, conference presentations and other meansRequirements:Master’s degree/PhD in physical sciences, engineering or equivalentHigh level of technical expertise in probe microscopy (AFM)Ideally knowledge of the Semiconductor industry and/or metrologyPrevious sales support experience desirable, ideally working with analytical instrumentationFluent spoken and written EnglishRight to live and work in the USWe look for these attributes for our team:Self-management: Able to work independently, setting priorities for own work based upon the company goals and targetsTeamwork: Engages with other members of the company to bring the best solutions to the problem.
