Job Coach - Local Contract
A non profit in Brooklyn is seeking a full-time Job Coach to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving and maintaining meaningful employment. This is a field-based role for candidates who are passionate about hands-on coaching, community inclusion, and supporting independence in the workplace. Compensation : $20 - $23 Job ID : 44868 Job Function: Manage a caseload of approximately 10-15 individuals Spend approximately 90% of work time in the field at job sites Provide one-on-one job coaching and skills training using: Task demonstration Modeling and observation Coaching, discussion, and counseling Support individuals in learning job duties and workplace expectations Gradually taper job supports as individuals become independent Assist individuals with travel training to and from job sites as needed Write detailed service and progress notes after each session Communicate regularly with program staff regarding client progress and challenges Job Requirements: Preferred: Associate's degree Minimum: High school diploma or GED with substantial relevant experience At least one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred Direct Support Professional (DSP), job coaching, or case management experience strongly preferred Experience completing documentation and case notes required Understanding of person-centered planning Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently in the field and manage a consistent afternoon/evening schedule Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
