Job Description Job Opportunity: Faculty Psychologist at Our Interdisciplinary Headache CenterWe are excited to announce an opening for a faculty psychologist to become part of our pioneering Headache Center team within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This role presents a remarkable chance to influence the future of headache management, research, and education at one of the leading academic institutions in the United States.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.Design personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.Deliver a wide array of evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at pain and stress management.Enhance patients' quality of life through effective treatment strategies.Qualifications and RequirementsA strong foundation in health psychology and pain psychology principles.Experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness therapies to alleviate headache frequency and improve overall functioning.Knowledge of biofeedback and/or neurofeedback therapies for headache management.A doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program.Completion of an APA-accredited internship and at least one year of supervised postdoctoral training.Board certification from the American Board of Professional Psychology is required within seven years of assuming this faculty role.Working ConditionsThis position is situated within a collaborative and innovative environment, emphasizing integrated care for medically ill populations.
