Job DescriptionEsports Lounge MonitorOverview: The Esports Lounge Monitor manages the front desk of the Esports Lounge in Friends Hall during open hours. The monitor will check players into the reservation system, manage scheduling and PC use, troubleshoot technical issues on the PCs and gaming consoles, and ensure the space and equipment is used properly. The role offers experience in customer service and opportunities to plan tournaments and gaming events.Time Commitment: Approximately 4-10 hours/weekHours: Monday-Saturday, 2 PM-10PM.Supervisor: Ash Bailot, abailot@ithaca.eduLocation: Friends Hall 110Pay Rate: $16.00/hrTasks, Duties and Responsibilities:Provide direct support for users of the Ithaca College Esports Lounge.Monitor the front desk and the Esports Lounge during public open hours.Help plan events, competitions and marketing.Check people into the room, manage the reservation system and ensure proper usage of the space.Answer visitor questions, create a welcoming environment, and enforce space policies.Work RequirementsCourteous and good customer service to engage with students and faculty.Technical skills with Microsoft Teams and Outlook.Dedicated to creating a welcoming environment in the Esports Lounge.Interest in Esports and gaming.Experience launching games on PC and console.Ability to troubleshoot technical problems with PCs, peripherals, and consoles.Ability to enforce rules of the space.Able to elevate issues to supervisor when necessary.Reliable; able to communicate in advance before missing a work shift.Candidate Qualifications:Must be currently enrolled as a student at Ithaca College.Demonstrated ability to work independently.Able to communicate with coworkers and supervisor verbally and over Microsoft Teams.This position will start August 19, 2026.
