Job Description Job SummaryLead Kitchen Utility Worker assists shift supervisors in performing all required duties to maintain kitchen area, and all utensils in a clean, sanitary, and orderly fashion. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Saracen Casino Resort policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesMaintain a consistent high level of cleanliness and guest serviceMaintain cleanliness of all back of the house areaCompleting simple tasks such sweeping, moping, wiping down any area (walls, counter tops), and taking the trash and boxes out, utilizing kitchen equipmentComplete closing report at the end of each shiftAssure that all kitchen equipment is clean before and after usingHave knowledge of all events and promotional activities and be able to communicate info to co-workersInspect kitchens, workrooms and equipment for cleanliness and orderEnsure the safety and security of all employees and guestsAdheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical mannerOutstanding example of and a credit to Saracen Casino ResortProvides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staffMeets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policiesAttends all necessary training meetingsAssist in other projects, as directedDuties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour scheduleQualifications/RequirementsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employmentHigh school diploma or acceptable equivalent preferredSome previous experience in a kitchen environmentTeam PlayerMust present a well-groomed and professional appearanceMust possess excellent communication skillsMust be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cuesAbility to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customersMust have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employeesMust have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful mannerMust be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming licenseWork nights, weekends and holidays as requiredEmployment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screeningPHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
