Application Support Engineer
Location: Onsite 3 days a wk; Hybrid – Office location is Kennesaw GARequired Pay Scale: $65-70hr W2***Due to client requirements this role is only open to USC or GC candidates***Summary of Job Description:This Application Production Support role is responsible for managing day-to-day activities and functions for the assigned team. Key expectations include solving complex technical and analytical issues and effectively communicating results to senior management and Line of Business partners.We are looking for dynamic problem solvers who can operate in a high pressure trading environment that requires strong global partnerships, solid technical and financial expertise, and strict adherence to process guidelines. Production Services oversees the daily operations of the technology platform.Qualifications7+ years of experience in application support, business solution management, or technology operations within a large enterprise environment.Experience supporting multiple applications concurrently, including vendor-hosted and internally developed solutions.Strong background in operations, production support, and operational change management.Hands-on experience coordinating infrastructure upgrades, vendor releases, and production incidents.Must Haves:L3, L2 and L1 Production Support Engineer or AnalystServer and operating system upgradesInfrastructure and middleware updatesVendor product upgrades, patches, and fixesAssess impacts, ensure readiness, and drive execution through established intake and change processes.Incident & Production SupportSynchronized with planned deployments and enterprise change windows.Raise, track, and manage required intake, change, and action requests.Security & Compliance ManagementTrack application security gaps, vulnerabilities, and compliance findings.Coordinate remediation efforts with vendors, application teams, and information security partners.Ensure timely application of security patches and control updates in accordance with Bank standards.Support application teams by helping remove technical roadblocks.Provide guidance on platform constraints, operational considerations, and solution options.Escalate risks and issues appropriately, ensuring clear ownership and follow-through.General tech background; need to be technicalWork with end users on tickets and issues they are having with these applicationsproblem solver/ troubleshooting skillsTechnical Skill Requirements:Application architectures and dependenciesInfrastructure components (servers, OS, middleware, networking basics)SDLC and release management processesWorking knowledge of production incident management, root cause analysis, and operational risk reduction.Familiarity with enterprise security controls, vulnerability management, and remediation tracking.Ability to navigate and leverage intake, change, and governance processes.Core CompetenciesStrong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey technical topics to non-technical audiences.Proven ability to manage ambiguity and operate effectively without formal project authority.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.Risk-aware mindset with a focus on stability, compliance, and resiliency.Desired QualificationsExperience in financial services or highly regulated environments.Prior experience working with third-party vendors and contract-managed applications.Familiarity with enterprise production support models (e.g., L1/L2/L3).Experience supporting applications subject to information security, risk, and compliance reviews.About Matlen SilverExperience Matters.
