Embedded Software Test Engineer (DO-178C / DAL-A)📍 Melbourne, FL (Remote)🛡️ ITAR Compliance: U.S. Citizenship or Green Card requiredAbout the RoleHCLTech is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Test Engineer with strong experience in DO-178C compliance and DAL-A verification to support aerospace and avionics programs. This role focuses on validating safety-critical embedded systems, ensuring compliance with certification standards, and driving high-quality verification processes.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform verification and validation (V&V) of embedded avionics software in compliance with DO-178C standards (DAL-A)Develop and execute unit tests, functional tests, and automated test scriptsDesign and maintain test cases, test procedures, and regression test suitesConduct structural coverage analysis (SCA) using tools such as LDRA, VectorCAST, or similarPerform quantitative and object code analysis to support certification requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams across software, systems, and certification engineeringSupport test documentation, traceability, and compliance artifacts for regulatory auditsRequired QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with DO-178C standards, with DAL-A level verification experienceExperience in unit testing and functional testing methodologiesProven experience in test automation and test framework developmentExperience with structural coverage tools (LDRA, VectorCAST, or similar)Experience with object code analysis / low-level verificationSolid understanding of embedded systems and software-hardware interactionPreferred QualificationsExperience working with aircraft GNSS systems or CNS (Communication, Navigation & Surveillance) domainsPrior experience in avionics or aerospace safety-critical systemsExposure to HIL/SIL testing environmentsCompliance Requirement (Mandatory)This position involves work on systems regulated under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).👉 Only U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) are eligible to apply.Why Join UsWork on cutting-edge aerospace and avionics systemsBe part of high-impact, safety-critical programsCollaborate with global engineering teams and certification authoritiesPay and BenefitsPay Range Minimum: $ 70000 per yearPay Range Maximum: $ 150000per yearHCLTech is an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees regardless of race, religion, sex, color, age, national origin, pregnancy, sexual orientation, physical disability or genetic information, military or veteran status, or any other protected classification, in accordance with federal, state, and/or local law.
