Maintenance Technician
This person will be responsible for maintaining the buildings, grounds and equipment. These include, but are not limited to: Pumps, motors, valves, VFD’s, electrical, plumbing, air handling, blowers, silos, vats, forklifts, packaging lines, waste handling and incoming water, so that the operation can remain in a steady state of operation with as little downtime as possible.
Essential Job Functions
Have knowledge of and understand all equipment so that it is maintained in good operating conditions through the implementation of a Preventative Maintenance Program
Documents maintenance and sanitation of equipment
Maintain equipment by the use of sanitary practices for all work completed
Accurately run all tests necessary prior to commissioning new or repaired equipment
Reports and follows up on all repairs of equipment as needed
Maintains waste water, EQ, HSW and DAF
Maintains incoming city water lines with proper back flow preventers
Monitors incoming air supply to maintain compliance to standards
Perform all other assignments as required

Job Requirements
Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies
Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor sometimes under adverse conditions
Ability to communicate orally and in writing; accurately record all repairs
Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
Must be available to work flexible hours and weekends
Physical Requirements
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
