In this role you will independently manage a defined caseload of permitting and compliance projects, owning delivery from application through approval. You'll be accountable for project execution, client communication, and regulatory outcomes, operating with minimal supervision and serving as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage a defined caseload portfolio of permitting and compliance projects from initiation through approval. (e.g., 8-15+ active projects depending on complexity).Serve as the primary liaison between clients, agencies, and internal teams.Prepare, review, and submit complete and accurate permit applications.Analyze and respond to agency comments with clear, technically sound responses and monitor project timelines and ensure all deadlines are met.Identify risks early and implement solutions to keep projects on track.Conduct regulatory analysis and interpret applicable requirements as well as coordinate across disciplines (engineering, design, environmental, etc.).Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding status, risks, and outcomes.Achieve strong client satisfaction (minimal escalations, positive feedback) and build & maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders.Delegate defined tasks to Level I staff and provide clear direction as well as review junior staff work for quality and completeness.Contribute to process improvements and documentation of best practices.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsWe're looking for talented professionals who are eager to help lead and grow a team, while contributing to high-quality, meaningful work. The following qualifications will help you succeed in this role:High school diploma or equivalent required4-6+ years of relevant experience in permitting, compliance, or related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in architecture, planning, real estate, engineering, construction, government, or related fieldRetail petroleum / UST / air quality permitting experience (strong plus)Demonstrates effective utilization and billable performanceProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Strong project and time management skills (client-facing).Work LocationThis can be a hybrid position based out of any Core States Group office or a remote position.Company OverviewCore States Group designs, builds, and manages programs and projects across North America and has been recognized on top lists throughout the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry.
