Social Services Case Manager
An experienced, skilled, and motivated ĒMA Coordinator who works directly with the Director of Social Services to oversee the ĒMA Advocates and clients while coordinating with community partners and agencies. The ĒMA Coordinator is a highly relational, organized, and driven professional who believes in facilitating personal growth and family preservation for every client by leveraging collaboration and equipping volunteers to advocate for moms in crisis.
This position oversees all ĒMA program functions, client cases, and volunteer Advocates. This position manages all incoming referrals and ensures every client's holistic needs are met and proper support is offered. The ĒMA Coordinator will manage stable program operations and consistent growth.
Program Description:
ĒMA is a prevention program designed to advocate for mothers in crisis, at-risk of family separation, or with children in foster care working towards reunification. ĒMA provides individualized and comprehensive support services to mothers in crisis such as evidence-based education, job readiness, court advocacy, and mental health resources. Mothers in the program are paired with volunteer ĒMA Advocates who provide the wrap-around social, emotional, and tangible support every mother deserves. The goal of ĒMA is to move mothers from a place of crisis to a place of stability, while empowering families to stay together.
Key Responsibilities:
The ĒMA Program Manager will work within the following areas of advocacy, planning and implementation:
Advocate for needed services for clients with local partners and agencies
Coordinate and oversee all incoming referrals, completing intakes, and determining action plans for clients
Monitor client case plans by verifying attendance, observing and evaluating client, obtaining additional resources, intervening in crisis, and providing support
Provide monthly reports to community partners (as needed)
Build and maintain relationships with community partners
Maintain a strong and updated database of community resources
Assure every client receives consistent and attentive care through the ĒMA program and community referrals
Effectively communicate client needs, goals, and progress
Cultivate a healthy team culture by working directly with ĒMA Advocates and volunteers to assure program stability and quality assurance
Recruit, onboard, and train volunteer Advocates
Manage and provide ongoing support to Advocates
Responsible for coordinating quarterly Advocate training.
Maintains financial records and tracks ĒMA Program budgets and spending
Assist with promotional tables and partnership engagements opportunities
Serve as an Advocate for one mom at a time
Create hospitable environments for ĒMA Groups by managing setup/teardown, volunteer support, and scheduling ĒMA Group facilitators
Provide in-court support for clients with open dependency case plans

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
Master’s degree in related field is preferred
Four years or more of case management experience in the non-profit sector is preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
