Vendor Management Analyst is responsible for vendor service delivery governance, overseeing the performance of contracted vendors (including Managed Service Providers) across the enterprise in support of the organization’s strategic Technology Vendor Management Program. The role analyzes vendor performance to assess compliance-to-contract, identifies contract performance deficiencies, and develops remediation plans and tracking of contracted service levels. The analyst conducts account reviews with the objective of attaining “beyond the contract” value from vendor relationships, understands software license models, and performs contract renewals and negotiations.
What you will do
Participate in the creation of vendor management tools, standards and processes.
Participate in vendor negotiations and track and maintain vendor performance.
Develop annual objectives for selected vendors to reduce costs, improve performance, and drive efficiencies.
Conduct account reviews of vendor performance with strategic and other selected vendors.
Maintain license audit schedule and perform regular internal license audits and externally requested software audits.
Provide licensing guidance to managers regarding new systems, acquisitions, and changes affecting licensing.
Review existing contracts to provide guidance and understanding to managers.
Review new contracts for input prior to signature.
Provide input for budgeting of renewals, new support contracts, and subscription agreements.
Manage hardware and software support renewals.
Produce asset management and IT financial reporting promptly.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
When you will work
Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office (Wyoming, MI) and 1 day remote.
What you’ll bring to the table
Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field (required); Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Two to four years of IT vendor management experience strongly preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational and problem‑solving capabilities.
Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and work independently or within a team environment.
Develops solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity, referencing policies and practices for guidance.
Proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, email, and internet software applications.
