Financial Controller
Olive Recruiting is searching for a Financial Controller for our global offshore engineering . This senior-level role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the U.S. division, including accounting, reporting, compliance, budgeting, and treasury functions. The Controller will act as the primary liaison to corporate finance teams overseas and ensure compliance with legal and fiscal regulations while providing strategic financial insight to local leadership. Full-time, direct hire with client Schedule: Hybrid | Minimum 3 days/week in-office additional days as needed based on deadlines Compensation: Competitive base salary based on experience + annual performance-based bonus. Fully paid benefits package included (medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), 19 vacation days, 12 sick days, and 9 holidays etc.) Responsibilities: Lead financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash flow, and reconciliationsServe as financial signatory and director on legal documents and corporate filingsCollaborate with corporate headquarters on treasury requests, tax strategy, and intercompany agreementsOversee payroll and ensure compliance with federal, state, and multi-jurisdictional tax laws (in collaboration with HR)Supervise one accounting support staff responsible for AP and payroll processingMonitor benefit plans, including 401(k) contributions and insurance renewalsLiaise with external auditors, insurance brokers, and tax consultantsMaintain and enhance internal controls, streamline accounting practices, and modernize finance systems (currently SAP)Participate in lease reviews and financial aspects of office operationsReport to both local GM and corporate Finance Director Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required) Masters degree preferredCPA designation (required) and must maintain continuing education credits10+ years of accounting/financial experience, ideally in a senior or supervisory roleU.S. citizenship (required) due to legal director responsibilitiesExperience with SAP (or similar ERP system) and financial reporting toolsStrong knowledge of GAAP, compliance regulations, payroll, benefits, and corporate taxesPrevious experience managing a small finance team or direct reportsHR familiarity is a plus, particularly around payroll and benefits strategyAbility to modernize manual/paper-based processes and implement efficienciesStrong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of working across departments and with international leadership
