A minimum 8 years of experience with SQL Server database administrationMust be able to install, configure, and maintain database management systems according to the project requirementsAble to perform regular backups of all databases to ensure data integrity and availabilityAble to implement and maintain database security measures, including user access control and encryptionAble to monitor database performance and optimize queries and indexes for improved efficiencyAble to handle database migrations and upgrades, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss; can troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize disruptionsRequires good communication skills to collaborate with other teams, such as application developers and system administrators, to ensure seamless integration and performanceExperience with Microsoft Windows Operating System Experience in upgrading major database instancesAbility to work closely with system admins and ISSO on application upgrades, documentation and STIG remediation
