Job Type Full-time Description You'll be out in the community every week - making connections that change people's lives. Mental health care can transform everything - but only if people know how to access it. As our Outreach Coordinator, you are the person who closes that gap. You'll walk into schools, clinics, hospitals, and community events representing two of the Central Valley's leading behavioral health programs. You'll shake hands, tell our story, build relationships, and open doors that lead to real people getting the help they need. This is also a career-launching role. We built it specifically as the first step on a Business Development career path. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Community Presence & EventsRepresent Ascend Behavioral Health and Sierra Meadows at weekly outreach events across Fresno, Visalia, and surrounding communities - host the booth, engage attendees, start conversations, and make connections that matterOwn the full planning and execution of all community events, health fairs, continuing education events, provider mixers, and facility open houses - from first concept to post-event follow-upHandle every logistical detail: venue booking, catering, invitations, RSVP tracking, setup, breakdown, and thank-you outreachMaintain a clear weekly event calendar and keep the BD team and leadership informed and prepared Lunch & Learn CoordinationPlan and coordinate all lunch and learn events that support the Business Development representatives at their provider accounts - so reps walk in ready to build the relationship, not manage the logistics Community OutreachProactively build relationships with school counselors, school districts, nonprofits, faith communities, and community mental health organizations across the Central ValleyReach out to organizations not yet in our network - every new connection is a potential pathway to care for someone in our communityShow up with energy and purpose at health fairs, school wellness events, and mental health awareness activities BD Team SupportSupport field representatives with scheduling, provider contact research, and outreach coordinationTrack event attendance and outreach activity - maintain records and report to the VP of BD & Admissions weeklyCoordinate with our internal Marketing team on materials and branded items needed for events - Marketing leads content and design; you communicate the needs and timelines YOUR CAREER PATH HERE: We built this role as a launchpad - here's how it works: 1. Outreach Coordinator - Learn the market You build deep knowledge of our programs, our referral community, and the Central Valley healthcare landscape. You become a recognized face at dozens of provider offices, schools, and community organizations. You learn what moves the needle. 2. Business Development Representative - Own a territory When the time is right - typically 12-18 months in for the right person - you step into a BD Rep role with your own account territory, your own admit targets, and the relationships you built in the field already working for you. Requirements REQUIRED1 - 3 years in community outreach, event coordination, sales, customer-facing, or healthcare-related work - we care more about your energy and potential than your resume lengthA natural communicator who genuinely enjoys meeting new people and building relationshipsStrong organizational skills - you can manage multiple events simultaneously without losing detailsValid California driver's license and reliable transportationAvailability for some evenings and weekends on a planned, advance-notice scheduleProficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or equivalent tools PREFERREDExperience in behavioral health, mental health, or healthcare settingsExisting relationships with Fresno-area providers, schools, or community organizationsBilingual in English and Spanish - strongly preferred given the communities we serveBackground in social work, public health, or healthcare administrationExperience with CRM tools or referral tracking systemsExperience with Canva or social media coordination Salary Description $22 - $27 / HR
