The growth and success of our portfolio will be possible by the contribution of our associates who will be recognized, grow and succeed with us.Our brand new Westin is seeking a motivated and energized Banquet Captain who will be responsible for planning dining events, managing F&B service, and tending to guests' requests and complaints.We offer an array of benefits for all employees, based on eligibility, to include:Paid vacationHoliday payAccess to a fully vested 401K programBCBS health insuranceDental and vision coverageHotel room discountsJob duties:Ensuring that all food and beverage items are presented and served correctly and noting any special requests & instructions, set out on the BEO's.Communicating with the culinary chef and catering manager any changes in the schedule of service, challenges or adverse comments that may arise during the event.Ensuring that staff members return all equipment to the storage areas, and confirm the room is left clean and tidy.Supervising all banquet staff members assigned to eventResponsible for preparing room in its entirety for a function or event, prior to the guest's arrival and reviewing and implementing table and seating diagrams.Following all health and safety regulations.Assisting with all reasonable bar back duties as required.Job requirements:Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.Outstanding customer service skills required.Must be flexible and have reliable transportation.Ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight is necessary up to 50 lbs.Requires bending, lifting, standing, squatting for long periods.Good communication skills and be able to multi-task.Previous banquet experience preferred.Previous hotel experience a plus.Clean background check
