Temporary Accounting Supervisor / Manager Work Arrangement: 80–90% Remote Travel: 1–3 onsite visits per month (travel expenses fully covered) Pay Rate: $60–$75 per hour Duration: 12–18 Month Temporary Assignment Position Overview LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a reputable healthcare organization in the State College, PA area to identify an experienced Temporary Accounting Supervisor / Manager . This role will support accounting operations during a critical business period and provide leadership, structure, and hands‑on technical expertise. The position is primarily remote, with limited onsite travel required each month. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail‑oriented accounting leader with a strong healthcare background who can step in quickly, supervise daily operations, and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls. Key Responsibilities Supervise and oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations Lead month‑end and year‑end close activities, including variance analysis and financial statement review Oversee treasury functions, including cash management and banking activities Review and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors and support audit preparation and requests Train, mentor, and review the work of accounting staff; provide technical guidance and ongoing feedback Ensure proper documentation of accounting procedures, policies, and internal controls Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementation of best practices Collaborate with finance leadership and cross‑functional teams to meet business objectives Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Healthcare industry experience required 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial close processes, and internal controls Hands‑on approach with the ability to work independently in a primarily remote environment Willingness and ability to travel onsite 1–3 times per month as needed Preferred Qualifications CPA strongly preferred Experience using Oracle ERP systems Experience working with EPIC healthcare software Prior experience supporting external audits and complex accounting environments Additional Information 80–90% remote All travel expenses will be fully covered Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: • The California Fair Chance Act • Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance • Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers #J-18808-Ljbffr
