This is not a temporary, contract, or "temp-to-hire" role.PurposeWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Maternal-Infant Clinical Care Technician to support a premier hospital. In this role, you will deliver essential bedside patient care, assist with activities of daily living, and support clinical workflows under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This position is ideal for an adaptable healthcare professional looking to make a meaningful impact on patients and families in a supportive team environment.ResponsibilitiesDirect Patient Care: Perform core clinical tasks including vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, tracking intake/output (I&O), patient weights, telemetry application, and Foley catheter care.Advanced Clinical Skills: Achieve and maintain competency in advanced clinical skills based on operational needs, such as phlebotomy/venipuncture, peripheral IV catheter removal, 12-lead EKGs, bladder scans, or indwelling Foley catheter removal.Daily Living Support: Assist patients with essential activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, feeding, ambulating, turning, repositioning, and intra-hospital transportation.Unit Support: Support universal unit duties including answering call lights and telephones, delivering meal trays, and managing general clerical tasks.Clinical Communication: Document all patient care accurately within the electronic health record (eRecord) and promptly report any changes in patient status or equipment malfunctions to the RN and leadership.Patient Education: Deliver clear instructions and support to patients and their families under the direct supervision of the clinical nursing team.Minimum Essential Requirements:High School Diploma or GED.Preferred Asset: Active certification or current enrollment in an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic program is highly valued.Must meet at least ONE of the following specific pathway options:Minimum of six (6) months of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant/CNA with the ability to achieve PCT competency within 120 days of hire.Active enrollment in a PT, OT, PA, or related healthcare training program with successful completion of at least one clinical rotation.Completion of a bachelor's degree in a Health Sciences field.Successful completion of the organization's patient care technician training class and electronic medical record (eRecord) training upon hire.Strong verbal and written communication skills with firm commitment to patient safety and workplace collaboration.Future Performance-Based Earning PotentialCompensation grows as you do!
