Special Education Teacher

Job Description Hiring now for the 2022-2023 school year!This position is for a full time special education certified teacher for a small class of up to 10 students. This classroom will also have a full time para assigned to support the teacher and students. Responsibilities for teacher:Implement designated curriculumDeliver expected curriculum instruction with fidelityActively monitor students following the staff duty scheduleCreate and implement Individual Education ProgramsCollect, analyze, and report on individual student dataKeep up to date attendance/illness/accident records of children in the classPlan, implement and post a weekly written plan of daily class activitiesSet up and maintain an appropriate classroom environment (this includes ensuring a clean and safe classroom)Provide quarterly written assessments to administration/families on children's progressProvide written guidelines for substitutesGive guidance and direction to teacher assistants and volunteersAttend staff meetings and functions of PathwaysCompany DescriptionPathways is a small private school serving students with special education needs.
