Language Partners in Portland Maine is hiring Professional Interpreters .Services:OnsiteVideo Remote Interpreting (VRI)Over the Phone Interpreting (OPI)Interpreter will provide interpretation in different fields such as education, medical, social services, legal, court and etc. We offer flexible schedule where you may accept or decline jobs based on your availability. The interpreter must have a professional proficiency in English and (applicable) languages.Languages Needed: Khmer CambodianResponsibilities:Interpret between English and (applicable) languageHave the ability to accurately interpret between English and Target LanguageMaintain professionalism through attitude and interpreting servicesMust be follow Interpreter Code of Ethics and Standards of PracticeQualifications:Proficient in English and (applicable) languages in both written and spoken formsProficient computer skill including but not limited emails, scheduling system, zoom, Microsoft teams and etcAdvanced Interpretation Skills and Communication skillsMust have reliable transportation for onsite appointments, and a reliable phone, internet connection and a quiet work environment for virtual appointments.Be familiar with Interpreting modes - Simultaneous or Consecutive, VRI, OPI, OSICertified in Interpreting or related field, BA in interpretation or Translation or related field. (Preferred)At least 1-2 years experience interpreting in a professional settingType:This is a 1099 Independent Contract position.Hours- Schedule:By appointment only.
