Elementary Special Education Teacher

Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe) Location: Aldan, PA Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | School Hours | School Year 2025-2026 Caseload: 5-10 students Setting: Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Grades: Elementary Start Date: As soon as possible Type: Full-Time, Onsite Job Summary: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school district in Philadelphia, PA for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will work with a caseload of 5-10 students, supporting individualized learning needs ranging from mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities. Responsibilities: Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) aligned with student needs. Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills to students with special needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to ensure inclusive education. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed. Maintain accurate documentation and communication with families and school administration. Participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities. Qualifications: Valid PA Special Education Teaching Certification (Required). Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field. Experience with mild/moderate or moderate/severe disabilities preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to supporting students’ academic and emotional growth.
