Hybrid telework/office setting work environment.Responsibilities Responsibilities: We are seeking a skilled GIS Database Architect to join our team. As a GIS Database Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining GIS databases to support spatial data management and analysis activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), database design, and spatial data management.Specific Responsibilities Include Designing, implementing, and maintaining the GIS data environment for enterprise data. Redesigning and optimising existing GIS databases Creating, implementing, and documenting data standards Managing Esri ArcGIS Enterprise GIS Databases within the SQL Server environment. Develop data models and database schemas to support spatial data analysis and visualization. Optimize database performance for spatial queries and data processing tasks. Collaborate with GIS analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design appropriate database solutions. Perform data quality assurance and validation to ensure the accuracy and consistency of spatial data. Document database designs, data models, and data workflows for reference and training purposes.
