Pleasant, South Carolina.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Mammography TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: ASAPDuration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 5x8hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: Apr 27, 2026Length: 13 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting, requiring 5+ years of experience and proficiency with Siemens Revelations and Hologic Dimension equipment.DetailsOutpatient clinic setting in a fast-paced environment requiring autonomy, strong positioning skills, and effective communicationMammography unit performing both screening and diagnostic mammogramsDaily caseload of approximately 70 patients, with a minimum of 20 screening mammograms per daySiemens Revelations and Hologic Dimension mammography equipment used (proficiency required)Charting performed in Epic5x8-hour day shifts, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through FridayNo weekend or on-call requirementsFloating between sister facilities (East Cooper and West Ashley locations) required as neededRequirementsMinimum of 5 years of mammography experience requiredCurrent BLS (AHA only), ARRT (M), and SCRQSA certifications requiredActive SC state license required prior to start — license required if applicableMust be proficient with Siemens Revelations and Hologic Dimension equipment — this is a hard requirementExperience performing both screening and diagnostic mammograms requiredSSN and Driver's License required for consideration2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for considerationAdditional InformationFirst-time travelers are accepted for this positionPrevious permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a travelerCandidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritizedLocal candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basisAll requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needOrientation takes place on-site, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMCompliance modules are completed prior to the assignment start dateScrub colors are any shade of pink or dark teal top with black bottomsTravelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and SeptemberCall-outs are not permitted by the facilityAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-692928.
