The work environment emphasizes technical excellence, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, offering opportunities to work on diverse, challenging projects in the Greater Houston area.Role Description The Electrical Control Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical control systems for industrial applications in an on-site setting in Greater Houston. This full-time role includes creating electrical schematics, specifying control components, programming and configuring control hardware, and supporting the installation and commissioning of systems. Daily activities involve diagnosing and troubleshooting control issues, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with project managers, mechanical engineers, and technicians to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope. The engineer will prepare technical documentation, support testing and validation, and provide ongoing technical support to internal teams and customers. The role also includes adherence to relevant codes, standards, and best practices, while contributing to process improvements and innovation in system design.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Controls and Electrical Engineering applicable to industrial automation and process environments.Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design and Control Systems Design, including schematic development, component selection, and system integration.Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical and control system issues in field and shop settings.Candidates should have familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, industrial networking, and related control hardware and software platforms.Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or have equivalent practical experience.Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site in Greater Houston.Experience in industrial automation, process control, or manufacturing environments, and knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA) are beneficial.
