Contracts Manager - Defense Systems Technology

DescriptionRobert Half Legal is partnering with a leading manufacturer specializing in highly classified defense system technology to identify a highly qualified Contracts Manager. This critical role will support dynamic procurement and sales teams, managing contract lifecycle processes from cradle to grave for supplier-side RFPs. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in legal and commercial contracts-and demonstrate proficiency in FAR/DFARS regulations.Key Responsibilities:+ Manage full contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution, compliance, and closeout for procurement and sales activities+ Support supplier-side RFP processes and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, including FAR/DFARS+ Review, negotiate, and administer commercial and legal contracts with domestic and international suppliers and customers+ Collaborate closely with legal, sales, and procurement teams to identify risks and mitigate exposure in contract terms+ Provide guidance on contract standards, policies, and best practices to cross-functional stakeholders+ Maintain detailed contract records; monitor milestones, deliverables, and compliance obligations+ Drive process improvements related to contract workflows and lifecycle enhancementsRequirementsQualifications:+ Minimum 5 years' experience in contract management roles within defense, aerospace, or highly regulated environments+ Demonstrated proficiency in FAR/DFARS regulations for supplier-side contracts+ Strong track record in legal and commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and management+ Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills+ Bachelor's degree required; JD or advanced legal/compliance certifications strongly preferredCompensation & Work Arrangement:+ Contract-to-hire opportunity: Target conversion salary $120,000+/year+ Remote work flexibility; periodic in-person meetings required at company headquarters in Los Angeles, CAPlease submit your resume directly to Steve[dot]Moss[at]RobertHalf[dotcom] for immediate consideration.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
