As part of this evolution, they are seeking a forward-thinking Data Center Architect to drive the design, scalability, and modernization of mission-critical environments supporting advanced engineering and manufacturing operations.This is a highly visible role reporting into senior infrastructure leadership, with direct influence over next-generation data center strategy.The OpportunityThis role sits at the intersection of infrastructure design, operational excellence, and long-term capacity strategy. You’ll architect and optimize complex data center environments that support high-performance workloads typical of semiconductor and advanced manufacturing ecosystems.Ideal for someone who has operated in large-scale, high-precision environments and is motivated to modernize infrastructure through automation, efficiency, and scalable design.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & DesignLead end-to-end design of data center environments (compute, network, storage, power, cooling)Develop scalable, high-availability architectures aligned to future-state business needsDrive standardization across layouts, rack design, and infrastructure componentsCapacity & Growth StrategyOwn capacity planning and forecasting across multiple sitesAnticipate infrastructure demands driven by engineering, manufacturing, and data workloadsLead expansion and upgrade initiatives before constraints impact operationsOptimization & InnovationIdentify and implement improvements in performance, efficiency, and sustainability (power, cooling, airflow)Champion automation, virtualization, and next-gen infrastructure practicesIntroduce modern design principles influenced by hyperscale and advanced manufacturing environmentsSecurity & ResilienceEnsure physical and logical security standards are embedded into all designsArchitect for redundancy, uptime, and risk mitigation across critical systemsVendor & Program LeadershipPartner with vendors and OEMs on equipment selection, deployment, and lifecycle managementLead large-scale data center projects end-to-end (budget, timelines, delivery)Cross-Functional LeadershipAct as a technical authority across infrastructure, networking, and platform teamsPartner closely with engineering, operations, and executive stakeholdersMentor and guide engineering teams on best practices and architectural directionWhat They’re Looking ForProven experience architecting enterprise or large-scale data center environmentsStrong expertise across networking, compute, storage, and facility infrastructure (power/cooling)Background in semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or similarly complex environments strongly preferredExperience supporting high-performance or engineering-driven workloadsDemonstrated success leading multiple data center builds or expansions (3+)Exposure to hyper-scale or cloud-influenced design principles (AWS, Azure, GCP environments highly relevant)Strong project leadership and stakeholder management capabilitiesAbility to operate both strategically and hands-onWhy This RoleDirect impact on next-generation infrastructure strategy within a global semiconductor leaderOpportunity to bring modern, hyper-scale-inspired thinking into a complex, high-value environmentStrong executive visibility and influenceCompetitive compensation with meaningful upside
