Go to our website at: www.goodwillswmi.orgRetail Production/DonationGeneral ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility of the team member in this position is to support the store in merchandising, production and accepting and sorting donations. Persons in this position support the retail goals of the store by performing their daily tasks and practicing the agency's core values of Success, Collaboration, People and Positivity.Essential Duties, Responsibilities and FunctionsEssential functions include but are not limited to:Greet donors in donation areas and assist in unloading vehicles while treating donated goods with care and place items in proper location.Examine donated goods to determine if they are sell-able.Meet or exceed daily goalsPractice safe and effective work habitsMerchandise items in the store to increase sellsAssist with the unloading and loading of productsKeep back room organized and cleanEnsure all production and donor records are completed correctlyDetermining price and labeling each item using established categoriesPerforming other tasks as requested by managementRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities but not limited to:Skilled in recognizing quality and value of itemsAbility to perform basic arithmetic, reading, and writingAbility to merchandise product in the storeAbility to operate or be trained to operate forklift in a safe mannerAbility to use pallet jack and move palletsSkilled in organizing and categorizingAbility to perform as a productive team member and self-motivatedQualificationsPrevious work experience preferred but not requiredEducationHigh school diploma or GED preferred but not requiredPhysical RequirementsThis is a physically demanding job requiring standing, bending, twisting, reaching and grasping six to eight hours per day. The job also includes frequent pushing and pulling, lifting and carrying objects weighing an average of 35 lbs. and occasional climbing.OtherMust be able to work a variety of hours and days of the week consistently
