Network Engineer
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in Stafford, VA. This is a remote position.The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and implementing robust LAN/WAN solutions that allow enterprise applications to utilize the MCEN De-Militarized Zone (DMZ). The engineer will manage network traffic routing, support daily operations for both on-premises and cloud networks (AWS, Azure) and play a critical part in troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues.Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToDesign and implement enterprise networking solutions using Cisco and Juniper hardware.Manage and support daily operations of network traffic routing for on-premises and cloud environments.Develop, update, and validate all network integration documentation.Support troubleshooting activities for network connectivity issues reported by application owners.Evaluate and apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to all relevant network components.Achieve and maintain all required Information Assurance (IA) certifications and training for privileged access to the MCEN.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree with at least 4 years of related experience in cloud networking constructs in AWS and Azure that support the DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA). An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Demonstrated proficiency with Cisco and Juniper network devices (routers, switches).A Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate for JUNOS (JNCIA-JUNOS) certification is required.DoDD 8140/8570 compliant/certified (e.g., current Security+ certification).Preferred QualificationsCurrent experience supporting Marine Corps Enterprise NetworksF5 Certified Technical Specialist certifications for ASM (Test 303), APM (Test 304), and LTM (Tests 301A/301B).Clearance RequirementsAn active DoD Secret clearance is required for this position.Physical RequirementsMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
