The Creative Audio Organization is a centralized team that touches nearly every Meta product. With over 60 audio experts, we work across a wide-range of software and hardware, including phone, glasses, VR headsets and a mix of AR/MR experiences. Creative Audio is seeking a Design Program Manager to join our Wearables department. You will play a critical role in driving the success of audio and haptic UX by providing operational leadership, strategic guidance, and hands-on support to our sound & product designers. Partnering with the Wearables Manager, you will be responsible for seamless collaboration, effective communication, and efficient project execution across multiple lead stakeholders.Minimum Qualifications10+ years of experience in design program management or a related UX Ops fieldSpecific experience supporting audio, haptics, or voice design teamsProven track record of successfully managing complex design programs and projectsExperience handling complexity and navigating ambiguity with teams on large scale 0 to 1 projectsExperience leading feature launchesSolid understanding of design principles, human-centered design methodologies, and design thinkingDemonstrated communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlinesExperience using data to identify problems and communicate solutionsDemonstrated experience problem-solving and utilizing analytical skills, with experience thinking critically and creativelyExperience with design tools and software, such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etcExperience managing vendors and contractorsPreferred QualificationsExperience developing for Wearables devicesFamiliarity with AI design tools and industryExperience with UX Product Design, especially as it relates to audio UXExperience working alongside audio tools and software, such as Pro Tools, Nuendo, Logic, etcKnowledge of Agile development methodologies and design sprintsExperience launching voice-first interaction featuresUnderstanding of DSP, audio synthesis, and digital audio concepts and formatsCertification in design program management or a related field (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master)ResponsibilitiesLead audio design operations that directly contribute to the execution of a team's product roadmapMake design work happen with speed and quality by seeking clarity on goals and prioritiesDevelop design program or operational product strategy under your own initiative; scopes and prioritizes resources/workload appropriately while identifying gaps and creating solutions/program plansIdentify and deliver work in highly complex areas that have many dependencies, working with cross-functional stakeholders to get buy-in and feedback at the appropriate design stagesNavigate complex product and design organization; understand interconnectedness of problems, features or products within larger systemsBuild scalable operational support frameworks for sound designers, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk managementMaintain and improve effective communication channels to keep stakeholders informed of project progress, issues, and changesDrive cross-functional teams, including product design, engineering, and product management, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomesDevelop workback schedules, sprint and resource plans to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budgetFoster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous learning within Creative AudioSupport hardware and software design prototyping efforts and testingIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and qualityAbout MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
