Database Administrator

Overview: UNITED STATES CITIZENS MUST HAVE A U.S. FEDERALLY AUTHORIZED TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE THE PRIMARY PLACE OF PERFORMANCE WILL BE AT NCR (WASHINGTON, DC) OR HUNTSVILLE, AL Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Database Administrator. The selected individual will join a collaborative team environment where they will provide support toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables. Key to the success of this position is the effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting project status. Responsibilities: Support ongoing maintenance and optimization of databases across various platforms, to include Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL Support the sustainment of existing and delivery of new automated Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) pipelines, using a suite of COTS, GOTS, Java, and other tools Support in creating and maintaining code comments or inline documentation where necessary to improve the readability of the code Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Minimum 1 year of experience Experience with Oracle utilities, troubleshooting and administration, and OEM management Experience developing, executing, and evaluating database code, functions, and queries on an Oracle database platform Experience installing, troubleshooting, and administering Oracle databases.
