Male Mental Health Speaker (ages 21-30)

Minding Your Mind is excited to welcome new voices from Maine. Your Story Has Power. Your Voice Can Change Lives. Many middle and high school students are struggling silently—with anxiety, depression, trauma, or hopelessness—believing they’re alone. We’re searching for individuals (ages 21-30) who’ve walked through their own mental health challenges, found strength on the other side, and are ready to use that journey to light the way for others. If you’re a college student who knows what it’s like to struggle—and what it takes to rise—your story could be the one that helps others hold on, reach out, or believe in themselves again. What You’ll Do Step into classrooms, gyms, and auditoriums and speak with courage, honesty, and heart. Connect deeply with middle and high school students who need a reminder that their pain does not define them. Help young people see that strength and softness can coexist, and that asking for help is an act of bravery—not weakness. Share your message at parent and community events to spark conversations that help to end stigma. Receive full training to transform your personal journey into a presentation that’s powerful, grounded, and truly your own. Comfortable speaking honestly about your mental health journey. Reliable transportation for school and community travel. Flexible availability, mostly during school hours with occasional evenings or weekends for special events. Details You’ll work locally in your region—no daily office commute required.
