The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java-based technologies, modern development frameworks, system integration, and Agile delivery environments.This role involves designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining mission-critical applications supporting Child Support Services programs and related public sector initiatives.Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $85,000 annually before benefitsBenefits includedKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based enterprise applicationsCollaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutionsSupport modernization and enhancement initiatives for Child Support Services systemsDevelop RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integrationsParticipate in full SDLC activities including requirements analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and production supportTroubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidentsWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standardsParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectivesSupport database design, queries, and optimization effortsCreate technical documentation and assist with knowledge transfer activitiesRequired Qualifications67 years of experience in Java developmentExperience working on Child Support Services, Human Services, or Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES) projectsStrong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST APIsExperience with microservices architecture and web servicesStrong understanding of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQLExperience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with Agile development methodologiesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience working with state or government agenciesKnowledge of Child Support Enforcement systems and workflowsExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS or AzureFamiliarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or KubernetesExperience with front-end technologies such as Angular or React is a plusFlexible work from home options available.
